There is no single clothing quantity that works for every project. The amount depends on garment size, usable fabric, condition, project type, requested details, and the number of finished pieces being considered. Robin reviews the clothing collection before confirming what is practical.

T-shirts, button-down shirts, baby clothes, pajamas, robes, sweatshirts, flannel shirts, dresses, uniforms, jerseys, meaningful blankets, and other fabrics may be considered. Robin reviews the material, construction, size, stretch, thickness, condition, and usable fabric before confirming the project.

Can I include items with stains or holes?

Possibly. Worn, stained, or damaged garments may still be considered depending on the condition of the usable fabric and the project design. Robin reviews the clothing before confirming what can be used.

How long does the creation process take?

The estimated timeline depends on the project details, Robin’s current workload, materials, clothing preparation, number of requested pieces, shipping, and design decisions. Robin provides a realistic estimated timeline before work begins.

How should I prepare and wash the clothes?

Keep all garments intact unless Robin gives you specific preparation instructions. Cutting, trimming, or altering clothing too early can remove usable fabric or meaningful details. Robin will provide any additional preparation instructions after reviewing the project.

Will I get the unused fabric back?

The handling of unused clothing and remaining fabric should be confirmed as part of the individual project scope before work begins. Let Robin know if there are specific garments or fabric pieces you want returned.

How do you handle shipping my precious items?

After the project is reviewed and confirmed, Robin provides instructions for organizing, packing, and shipping the approved garments. Please do not ship meaningful clothing before receiving those instructions.

Can you combine different sizes of clothing?

Different garment sizes and fabric types may be considered together. Robin reviews the clothing collection, usable fabric, construction, and project goals before confirming what combination is practical.

How do I care for my finished memory quilt or bear?

Care instructions may vary depending on the fabrics and finished project. Robin will provide the appropriate care guidance for the completed piece.

Can I request specific placements for logos or designs?

Yes, meaningful details such as logos, pockets, patches, collars, embroidery, names, or graphics may be considered. Their placement depends on the garment construction, usable fabric, and approved project design.

What if I don't have quite enough clothes?

If the available clothing is limited, Robin can review the collection and help determine whether a smaller keepsake, different project type, or another practical direction makes more sense.

Do you require a deposit before starting?

Yes, we require a 50% deposit to secure your place in our queue and begin the design process. The remaining balance is due just before we ship your completed heirloom.
